Common FAQs

What is the difference between AI DD™ and standard washers?

Standard washers only adjust cycles based on load weight. AI DD™ goes further by analyzing fabric softness through internal resistance sensing, selecting the precise combination of drum motions to maximize cleaning while reducing fabric wear by up to 18%.

Can I control this washing machine using my phone?

Yes, built-in LG ThinQ™ Wi-Fi connectivity allows you to start cycles, pause operation, receive push notifications when cycles finish, and download custom wash programs via the LG ThinQ™ app.

How does LG’s Steam™ technology improve laundry hygiene?

The Steam™ cycle generates pure steam during the wash to penetrate deep into clothing fibers, neutralizing up to 99.9% of common household allergens, bacteria, and dust mites.

What does VCM finish mean?

VCM stands for Vinyl Coated Metal, a high-grade metallic finish that offers superior protection against scratches, fingerprints, and moisture in humid laundry environments.

How does the Inverter Direct Drive Motor benefit energy efficiency?

By mounting the motor directly onto the wash drum without drive belts or pulleys, friction points are minimized, resulting in quieter operation, reduced vibration, lower power consumption, and longer service life.
